BOSTON, MA - Senior forward Toya Chester (North Attleboro, MA) recorded a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Framingham State College women's basketball team over host University of Massachusetts Boston, 48-43, this afternoon to capture the 2009 UMass Boston Tip-off Classic championship at the Clark Athletic Center on the campus of UMass Boston. This is the second Tip-Off Classic crown for the Rams, who also captured the title in 2002. Chester was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player for her performance over the two games in the tournament. The win improves Framingham State's record to 2-0 while the loss drops the Beacons to 1-1. (MORE)
