General Information:

All classes will take place in the Aerobics room at the UMass Boston Beacon Fitness Center, McCormack, First Floor, Room 710. Classes are subject to change. For more information, contact the Beacon Fitness Center at 617-287-6786. The Beacon Fitness Center and all classes and services are offered through the UMass Boston Athletic Department. Membership to the Beacon Fitness Center is free for students of UMass Boston. All classes are offered free of charge to all members of the Beacon Fitness Center.

 

 

 Other Considerations:

Rules and eligibility for participation in group exercise at the UMass Boston Beacon Fitness Center. All members of the Beacon Fitness Center may take part in any group exercise class offered at no additional cost. It is only necessary to sign up for a class if specified by instructor. Please make sure to bring water to all classes in order to stay properly hydrated!!!!!

Abs & Buns: An entire class devoted to working the glutes & abdominal region

 

Ab Cutz:  Work all angles of your core to sculpt the abs you have always wanted in just 30 minutes.

Body On The Ball:  Light strength & conditioning exercises using stability & medicine balls

Body Tone:  Basic strength training using light weight & high repetitions to tone the entire body

Boot Camp:  An invigorating, high energy workout! Gain strength, improve your cardio & get yourself into the best shape of your life!

Booty Sculpt:  30 minutes of glute busting exercises

Cardio Kickboxing:  Jump start your morning & torch calories with a butt-kicking workout based on the principles of kickboxing

Total Body Conditioning:   An entire body circuit using interval, strength & cardio style exercise

Slow Flow Yoga:  This 75 min. class combines seated meditation, breath work, &  slow flowing postures to connect mind, body, & spirit.

Yoga:  Exercises mind & body through traditional Yoga techniques

Zumba:  An invigorating workout to upbeat music resulting in a great total body work out session

Pilates:   A Low impact, total body workout that strengthens the core & lengthens the look of muscles using traditional & modern techniques & breathing patterns.
