MEN'S AND WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD COMPETE AT REEBOK BOSTON GAMES
Morales turned in a personal-best time of 6.70 seconds in the dash, while junior Fuad Conteh (Sierre Leone) was the next Beacon to cross the finish line with a time of 6.90 seconds, placing him 26th overall and seventh among Division III competitors. Morales was also the Beacons' top finisher in the 200 meter dash, clocking a time of 23.56 seconds for a 26th place finish. Also competing in the 55 meter dash for UMass Boston were senior Anthony Loui (Brookline, MA) finishing 33rd at 7.60 seconds and freshman Jeff Laurore (Malden, MA) coming in 34th at 7.67 seconds.
Freshman Jake Kerin (Quincy, MA) clocked in at 2:02.23 in the 800 meter run to finish 15th while sophomore Ben Potter (Arlington, MA) crossed the finish line at 2:05.18 for a 23rd place finish in the race.
Senior Debbie Gieng (Boston, MA) ran a time of 10.09 in the 55 meter hurdles for a 37th-place showing to lead the UMass Boston women, while senior Joy Risko (Bristol, RI) placed 38th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:05.26.
The Beacons will be in action again on Saturday, February 6 at the Smith College Tartan Invitational.
