MORALES SETS NEW SCHOOL RECORD IN 200M AT ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

NEW YORK, NY - On Saturday, March 5, University of Massachusetts Boston sophomore Henry Morales (Chelsea, MA) ran the 200M race in 22.73 seconds at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) championships held at the Armory Track & Field complex, setting a new UMass Boston program record.

In the overall competition, The College of New Jersey captured the women's overall title with 58 points while Buffalo State brought home the men's crown with 77 total points. Morales was the only member of the UMass Boston indoor track and field squad to compete in the ECAC Championships, finishing 18th overall and second among New England runners in the 200M race.

The championship concludes the 2010-11 indoor track and field season for UMass Boston. Outdoor competition will resume on Saturday, March 19 at the Northeastern Husky Invitational
