Hart Sets Program Record in High Jump at Dartmouth Relays

DARTMOUTH, New Hampshire - For the second consecutive meet freshman jumper Tylor Hart (Newton, Mass.) continued to climb the record board as he set the program record in the high jump this time recording a height of 6-07.00 at the 2012 Dartmouth College Relays.
Hart's record setting jump also qualified the freshman for the 2012 All-New England Championship meet on February 25 and 26 at Boston University.
Also in action on Sunday was Henry Morales (Chelsea, Mass.) who qualified for the finals of the 60 meter dash after posting a time of 7.29 seconds in the qualifying round. In the finals, Morales finished in 7th place with a time of 7.20 seconds. Also competing in the 60 was Ervin Lofton (Ann Arbor, Mich.), who finished in 22nd place (7.54) and Norbert Simon (Chelsea, Mass.) who finished in 24th place (7.56).
In the 400 meter dash Kebba Nasso (Attleboro, Mass.) finished in 11th place with a time of 51.55 seconds. Hart also competed in the event and finished in 28th place with a time of 55.15 seconds.
The 800 meter run was led by Jake Kerin (Quincy, Mass.) and his time of 2:02.09 to earn him a 11th place finish. Hamza Abdul (Chelsea, Mass.) posted a 20th place finish with a time of 2:09.05, followed by Andre Malcolm (Cambridge, Mass.) and his time of 2:12.70 which earned him a 21st place finish.
Xhulio Uruci (Newton, Mass.) posted a 22nd place finish in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 9:18.71. The 4x400 meter relay saw Abdul, Kerin, Simmons, and Nasso record a combined time of 3:34.25, which earned the sprinters a fourth place finish overall.
Also competing alongside Hart in the high jump was Ervin Lofton, who leaped his way to a 5th place finish with a height of 6-04.00. Morales took 11th place in the long jump with his leap of 20-06.00 feet.
On the women's side of Sunday's meet, Samara Faustin (Boston, Mass.) qualified for the final of the 60 meter dash with her time of 8.22 seconds (12th place). In the finals she recorded a time of 8.21 seconds to post a 10th place finish.
Ari Leao (New Bedford, Mass.) competed in both the 400 meter dash and the 800 meter run. In the 400, Leao finished in 18th place with her time of 1:06.23. In the 800 she crossed the finish line in 21st place with a time of 2:32.21. Anitra Kloczewiak (Newton, Mass.) was the lone field competitor for the Beacons as she finished in 13th place in the weight throw with her toss of 30-02.25 feet.
Track and field will return to action tomorrow on the final day of the Dartmouth College Relays.
