BOSTON, Mass. – Seniors Dan Mantoni (Northbridge, Mass.) and Matt Tulley (Lowell, Mass.) have both been named to the 2017 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Senior All-Star game.
The game, which features the top Division II/III players in New England, will be played on Friday, June 2 at 12 p.m. at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I. In total there were 12 players from the Division II and 16 from the Division III level named to the All-Star game roster. A total of 20 different programs will be represented at McCoy Stadium.
For Mantoni and Tulley their senior seasons were ones for the record books, after leading the Beacons back to the College World Series. Mantoni, who was named an NEIBA and D3Baseball.com All-Region honoree, ended his career as the only player to ever record over 200 career hits and 200 career innings pitched. Tulley, was lights out on the hill for the Beacons, as the senior righty posted an 8-2 record and a 2.42 ERA. He also led the Beacons pitching staff with 80 strikeouts, which stands as second most in program history.
