BOSTON, Mass. – After collecting a pair of conference saves, including one against the third-ranked Huskies of the University of Southern Maine, senior closer Bobby Tramondozzi (Peabody, Mass.) was named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week as the top reliever in the country
Last week, the Peabody native did not allow a run in 3.1 innings of work. He fanned four batters and allowed just two hits. Against the Huskies, Tramondozzi went an inning and a third and had one strikeout, and did not allow a walk. In the game-two in over Eastern Connecticut State University, the righty fanned three batters in two innings of work and allowed just one hit to help UMB to the conference sweep of the Warriors.
To-date Tramondozzi leads the Little East Conference with eight saves, which is one short of his already program record for saves in a season. He also leads the New England region and is tied for fourth in the country in total saves.
