Title: Assistant Baseball Coach

Bobby Barrett is entering his first year at UMass Boston and will serve as assistant coach in 2013. Bobby comes from Suffolk university where he coached the catchers and hitters for the past two seasons.

Before coaching, Barrett was a four-year standout as a catcher for Suffolk University. While at Suffolk, Barrett was a D3Baseball.com All-America selection as a Junior. That season he set the single season Suffolk RBI record with 69. Barrett was also a two-time New England All-Region selection by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) and was a three-time All-Conference selection by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). During his senior year Barrett was award Suffolk's Charles Law Student-Athlete Award, which recognizes a student-athlete for excellence in academics and athletics. Held a career .385 batting average.

Barrett earned his Masters of Education in Administration of Higher Education at Suffolk University in December, 2011
