Jason Connelly returns to the UMass Boston coaching staff for
his fourth season and will assume duties as the Beacons' pitching
coach.
In 2010, Connelly helped the Beacons staff post 32 wins and
featured a D-III Third Team All-American and Little East Conference
Pitcher of the Year in sophomore James Dalton.
Prior to his arrival at UMass Boston, he gained coaching experience
at Weymouth High School in 2007 and Thayer Academy in 2008.
Connelly was a standout player for Western New England College,
prior to entering the coaching arena. A native of Scituate, MA, he
was named a First Team All-American for the Golden Bears as well as
being honored on the All New England Intercollegiate Baseball
Association Division III team. Connelly starred as a pitcher and
second baseman for WNEC and helped the Golden Bears to the NCAA
tournament, where he was selected to the NCAA All-Regional
Tournament squad.
Connelly is a 2006 graduate of Western New England with a degree in
psychology.
