Mike Conroy enters
his second year on staff with the Beacons and brings with him an
outstanding baseball resume. The Scituate, MA native and Boston
College high school graduate will be the Beacons hitting and
outfield coach.
In 2001, Conroy helped lead Boston College High
School to state championships in both football and baseball. After
an outstanding 2001 season in which he was named Massachusetts
Gatorade Player of year, USA Today All-American, and Rawlings All
American, Conroy was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 1st
round of the MLB draft. Conroy went on to play 9 years in the
professional ranks.
Beacons Head Coach
Brendan Eygabroat said of Conroy, "Mike has already made an
immediate impact in our program. His knowledge of the game,
teaching ability, and enthusiasm for coaching is outstanding. He is
a great addition to the coaching staff."
Mike is currently
a Business Management major at Suffolk University.
