Anthony Lauretto remains with the Beacons after completing his collegiate career last spring. He will assist with the UMass Boston pitchers as a volunteer assistant coach. Lauretto established himself as one of the most formidable relievers in recent school history in three seasons with the Beacons. He finished his career with 47 appearances to rank second on the school's all-time career list and led UMass Boston with a school-record tying four saves in his final campaign. He also tied for the most career saves in program history with six. A very good control pitcher, Lauretto's strikeout to walk ratio was almost 3:1 with 68 strikeouts and just 26 bases on balls in 104 career innings pitched. The Pembroke, MA native will graduate in 2010 with a degree in marketing from UMass Boston. He currently is the Co-Head Coach for the Duxbury American Legion baseball nine as well. |
