2009: Established himself as the team's top starting pitcher, leading the Beacons in wins (4-4), earned run average (5.40), starts (nine), complete games (two), innings pitched (58 1/3), strikeouts (46) and opponents batting average (.279) ... Also proved to be among the best starting hurlers in the Little East Conference, ranking fourth in games started, fifth in innings, seventh in opponent batting average, ninth in victories and strikeouts and 10th in ERA ... Got tough with runners on base, holding hitters to a .244 (33-135) batting mark ... Put together a string of four appearances from April 8-24 , including three starts where he went 3-0 with a 1.67 earned run average, while striking out 28 and holding batters to a .155 (15-97) batting average in 27 innings of work ... During the stretch he became the only pitcher in the nation to hurl a shutout at nationally-ranked number one University of Southern Maine, allowing just six hits, while striking out seven and walking six in nine innings of work on April 24 ...
