NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – After helping men's basketball to a 2-1 week and the 28th Annual Harbor Invitational Tournament championship on Saturday freshman forward Jahleel Moise (Brockton, Mass.) has been named the Little East Conference Rookie of the Week for the first time in his career.
On the week Moise averaged 8.3 points per game and shot 47.6% (10-for-21) from the floor and 57.1% (4-for-7) from 3-point range.
To start off the week the Brockton native dropped in 13 points, while also collecting seven rebounds in the tough overtime loss to Fitchburg State University. Against the Falcons he was 5-for-9 from the floor with a pair of 3-pointers. On the glass four of the seven boards came on the offensive of the court.
Over the weekend, the Moise once again came off the bench to lead the Beacons to their first Harbor Invite Tournament title since 2005. In the opener Moise recorded 10 points and one block and one steal against the University of New England. In the championship game, Moise finished with two steals and two points to help the Beacons to a 76-60 win over Trinity College (Conn.).
