Men’s Basketball Announces 2014-15 Slate
BOSTON, Mass. – Head Coach Charlie Titus has announced the 2014-15 men's basketball schedule, which is set to tip-off on Tuesday, November 15 at Colby-Sawyer College.
The 2014-15 campaign will mark the 39th year for coach Titus as he looks to lead his Beacons back to the Little East Conference tournament for a third straight year.
Following the season opener at Colby-Sawyer, the Beacons will return to the Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium for a pair of contests, the first of which will take place on November 20 against Suffolk University. The second game will be on Saturday against Newbury College.
After a road trip to Fitchburg State University on Tuesday the 25, the Beacons will host the 30th Annual Harbor Invitational on the 28 and 29.
The Beacons will play a total of three games in December, and only one will be in Boston. They will start the month off with a trip to Cambridge to take on MIT. They will then open Little East Conference play on Saturday the 6 at Keene State College. Their conference home debut will take place the following Saturday against Rhode Island College.
UMass will celebrate the New Year with a non-conference home game against Framingham State University on Tuesday the 6 before welcoming Eastern Connecticut State University that Saturday.
In total the Beacons will play 11 games in the month of January, with five scheduled to be played on their home floor. February will have three of the Beacons five games played on their home court with the regular season final scheduled for Saturday the 21 against Western Connecticut State University.
