Brian Cerone is now in his second season with the UMass Boston men’s basketball program. 

A former assistant coach at Hanover High School, Cerone helped his alma mater to two Division III tournament appearances.  To date he currently serves as the Program Director and Head Coach of the Eastern Mass AAU program as well as serving as a geometry teacher at the BB Russell School in Brockton, Massachusetts.

Cerone, who played two seasons at Wheaton College in Norton helped the Lyons to an ECAC Championship and an appearance in the NEWMAC championship game.  In high school, Cerone was a standout player both on and off the court.  A three-year starter for Hanover High School, Cerone was a 1,000 point scorer and was named a Brockton Enterprise Newspaper All-Scholastic team honoree twice.

In 2009, he graduated from UMass Boston with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, while most recently he earned a master’s degree in Secondary Education from Endicott College.
