BOSTON, MA - The Williams College men's basketball team saw 13 players score for it in a 73-50 victory over host University of Massachusetts Boston to capture the 24th Annual Harbor Invitational today at the Clark Athletic Center on the UMass Boston campus. The Ephs improve to 5-1 on the season, while the Beacons fall to 1-2.
UMass Boston raced out to a 12-5 lead with 15:59 to go in the first half, fueled by six points each from junior guard Aaron Jones (Boston, MA/Catholic Memorial) and sophomore forward Pat Joseph (Queens, NY). Williams regrouped to score the next 12 points to take a 17-12 margin with 9:15 showing in the first half. It was the start of a 32-5 run by the Ephs to take a 37-17 advantage with 2:24 remaining in the opening period, before taking a 39-19 lead into halftime.
Williams increased its lead to 53-21, scoring 14 of the half's first 16 points, with 14:30 to go in the contest. The Ephs later maintained a 57-25 lead with 10:36 showing on the second half clock, before the Beacons went on a 20-8 stretch, led by eight points from freshman forward Paul Kielb (Boston, MA/North Cambridge Catholic), to cut the deficit to 65-45 with 3:38 left in the game. UMass Boston would get no closer as Williams went on to take the championship.
Junior center Ethan Timmins-Schiffman (Wilmington, DE) led the Ephs with 14 points on 5-8 from the floor to go with four rebounds and three assists in 22 minutes of action, while tournament Most Valuable Player Kevin Snyder (Littleton, CO) netted 12 points, grabbed four boards, handed out four assists and made a steal. Sophomore forward Harlan Dodson (Nashville, TN) contributed with 11 points, a rebound, an assist and a steal and junior guard Blake Schultz (Atherton, CA) chipped in with nine points and a game-high 11 rebounds in addition to four assists, a steal and a block.
Jones led the Beacons with 13 points and added five rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals, while Kielb finished with 10 points on 4-5 from the floor to go with a rebound in 15 minutes off the bench. Joseph contributed with six points, four rebounds and a steal.

UMass Boston will be in action again on Tuesday, December 2 when it travels across the city to take on Emerson College at 5:00 p.m., while Williams travels to Framingham, MA on December 2 to play Framingham State College at 7:30 p.m.
