Greg Schwind begins his fourth season with the UMass Boston coaching staff. He was also an assistant with State University of New York Brockport during the 2007-08 campaign.

The former forward spent two years at SUNY-Brockport as a player as well and made an immediate impact for the Golden Eagles, leading them in points and assists on his way to being named team Most Valuable Player for the 2005-06 campaign. He also earned a spot on the State University of New York Athletic Conference All-Academic team and repeated that feat the following year as well.

Prior to his time with Brockport, Schwind played two seasons for Morrisville State College, where he was selected a Captain and led the team to the National Junior College Athletic Association National Championship and was named the national tournament MVP. The New York native was also tabbed to the Academic All-American squad.

Schwind, a resident of South Boston with his wife, Laurie, is a 2006 graduate of SUNY-Brockport with a degree in mathematics and also holds a masters degree in education adolescence mathematics.
