NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – For the third straight junior Donny Delpha (Walpole, Mass.) has been named to the Little East Conference Second Team after helping the Beacons to their best finish ever under head coach Tyler Low.
With Wednesday's announcement, Delpha becomes the first player since Chris Hanafin '06 to earn three consecutive all-conference nods. Hanafin, remains the only player to be named a four-time All-Little East Conference honoree.
In 2014, the Walpole native finished second on the team with 23 goals, 17 assists, and 40 points. He appeared 17 of the 18 games played this season, earning a sport in the starting line-up a total of three times. He led the Beacons special teams with six man-up goals and collected 22 groundballs.
By far his best performance of the year came in the March 14 game at Lasell College. He would register four goals and one assist in the loss, but finished with one man-up tally for the Beacons. On the year he finished eight games with two or more goals, and had at-least one point in every game played this year. In the 14-12 win over Regis College, he posted two goals and two assists to lead the Beacons to their eighth win of the year.
Looking towards his senior season, Delpha is currently sitting 10th all-time with 140 career points. His 86 career goals is 11th most all-time, while his 46 assists has him sitting ninth. He is also tied for second in program history in man-up goals with 25.
