Jason Wellemeyer just completed his second season with the UMass Boston men’s lacrosse program as the Associate Head Coach.  The 2013 campaign will make his third year as a member of Coach Low's staff.  Wellemeyer serves as the offensive coordinator for the Beacons and head coach Tyler Low.

Prior to joining the UMass Boston coaching staff, Wellemeyer worked as an assistant coach for Cohasset High School who claimed the 2010 Massachusetts Division 3 State Title. Wellemeyer also served as the offensive coordinator for Babson College during the 2008-2009 season.

Before his coaching career Wellemeyer played college lacrosse at Division 3 Babson College alongside coach Low. Serving as a two-time captain, Wellemeyer earned All-Conference honors three-times and currently ranked seventh in scoring in the program’s history.

A native of the Boston area, Wellemeyer played his high school lacrosse at Catholic Memorial in West Roxbury. Off the field, Wellemeyer is the co-founder of PrimeTime Lacrosse, which sponsors camps, leagues and clinics as well as select teams.
