GOSTANIAN NAMED LITTLE EAST CONFERENCE MEN'S LACROSSE GOALIE OF THE WEEK

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA - University of Massachusetts Boston men's lacrosse player Jake Gostanian (Andover, MA) has been named Little East Conference Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week for his play during the week of March 15-21, it was announced today by the conference.

Gostanian earned his first collegiate victory in the Beacons' only contest of the week. The freshman stopped seven shots to register a .500 save percentage and picked up three ground balls in UMass Boston's 13-7 win over Mount Saint Mary College on March 20.

The Andover high school product has been impressive in his first collegiate campaign in net for the Beacons. He currently ranks third in the league with 12.33 saves with 37 in three contests, while owning a .569 save percentage. Gostanian has also posted a 9.33 goals against average in 180 minutes of action and has made at least seven saves in every game this year, including a season-high of 20, while allowing just six goals to Curry College on March 6.

UMass Boston is currently 1-2 on the season and will be in action again on Saturday, March 27 when it travels to Worcester, MA for a 1:00 p.m. match with Clark University.
