BOSTON, Mass. – After a historic first season for head coach Jake Beverlin and his Beacons, they now have their sights set on the 2014 seasons. The Beacons will begin their new campaign on Friday, August 29 at the Roger Williams University/Turfer Classic in Bristol, Rhode Island.
In their season opener, the Beacons will face RPI at 1:30 p.m. on day one of the two-day tournament. From there the Beacons will spend the first two weeks of September on the road, and will not make their home debut until Wednesday, September 17 when they host Salem State University.
Combined the Beacons will play a total of 13 games on the road, and will play only three home games in September, two in October, and one in November. Their 2014 Little East Conference opener will take place in Gorham, Maine when they face the University of Southern Maine. The two teams will square off at 12:00 p.m.
The Beacons second home contest will take place on the 24th when they take on Wentworth Institute of Technology at 3:30 p.m. Their first of only three home LEC contests is scheduled for the 27th when they take on intra-state rival UMass Dartmouth at 1 p.m.
The two homes games in October will be played on the 11th (Western Connecticut State University) and on the 14th (Salve Regina University). They will close out the regular season on November 1 when they host Rhode Island College at 1 p.m.
