Andrew Branton returns to UMass Boston for his second season as assistant men's soccer coach.

Currently serving as the fulltime Technical Director for Aztec Soccer (Beverly, Mass.), Branton comes to UMass Boston with a wealth of knowledge having coached at the club, college, and professional levels.

Branton, who is a native of Royal County of Berkshire, England, started his coaching career at the age of 17 by earning his FA Level One Coaching Certificate (English Football Association) in the summer of 2001.  From there he went on to coach in the Northern Premier League, as well as with the Leeds United AFC’s youth development center and academy, and the East Yorkshire Girls Football Association. 

While coaching, Branton went on to earn his degree in Sports Management from Leeds Metropolitan University.  He would also go on to earn his FA Level Two and Three Coaching Certificates (UEFA Coaching License) and his FA Premier League Talent Identification qualification.

Over the last six years that Branton has been in the United States, he has coached at numerous camps and clinics working with both club and college level players.  He has also served as a coach in a variety of states as well as in Canada and in the Caribbean.  No stranger to the Division III level, Branton has worked on the coaching staffs of Newbury College (MA) and Bates College (ME).  Branton just recently completed his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
