UMASS BOSTON'S TRACY SELECTED TO PLAY IN NEISL MEN'S SOCCER SENIOR ALL-STAR GAME

NEW LONDON, CT - University of Massachusetts Boston men's soccer player Stew Tracy (Belfair, WA) has been selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League Division III Men's Soccer Senior All-Star game on May 3 on the campus of Clark University in Worcester, MA at 3:00 p.m. it was announced by the NEISL.
Tracy becomes the first player under Head Coach Myles Berry to be named to the squad, consisting of 15 midfielders, eight forwards, nine defenders and three goalkeepers from 23 different institutions in New England. Seven players from the Little East Conference are represented, including Tracy.
The midfielder started all 17 games for the Beacons, while registering two points on his only goal of the season, which proved to be the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on September 29.
The senior transferred to UMass Boston for the 2006 season and started 35 of 36 matches in his two-year career with the Beacons. He netted a career-high three goals, including the game-winner in a 5-2 win at Massachusetts Maritime Academy on September 19, 2006. A graduate of Olympic High School, he helped UMass Boston to a 19-15-2 mark, including a Little East Conference Tournament appearance in 2006 during his two seasons.
The Beacons finished the 2007 season with an 8-8-1 overall record, including a 1-5-1 mark in LEC play.
