NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Freshman Kebba Nasso (Attleboro, Mass.) has been named the Little East Conference Rookie Field Athlete of the Week, for his record setting performances at Saturday's Tufts University Invitational, as announced by the conference office.
On Saturday, Nasso broke the program record in the 400 meter dash with his time of 50.21 seconds. He broke the original record set in 1988 by 61-hundredths of a second. His record setting time is currently fifth best in Division III, and helped him to a third place finish on Saturday. Nasso also became the program record holder in the triple jump, as he recorded a jump of 42-06.25 to win the event.
With Saturday's two records, Nasso now currently holds three individual records at UMass Boston (200, 400, triple jump) and one relay record (4x400).
