Josh Goldstein begins his first year on the UMass Boston sideline, but has gained valuable coaching experience over the past few years. The Newton, Massachusetts native spent four years as the Muhlenberg College men's basketball team manager, a position that enables individuals to learn what's needed in the coaching arena. While with the Mules, he also spent two of those years as a student assistant coach, before devoting last summer as an intern to the Tufts University men's basketball program. Goldstein enjoyed success during his playing career at Beaver Country Day School, earning the Junior Varsity Coaches' Award in his sophomore and junior seasons. A 2008 graduate of Muhlenberg, he graduated with a degree in history and currently resides in Newton.
