BOSTON, Mass. – After one of their most memorable seasons in program history, head coach Colleen Harris will look to lead a veteran heavy roster to even greater heights as she announced the 2014-15 women's ice hockey schedule.
The action begins on Friday, October 31 in their home debut when they take on first-year program William Smith College (N.Y.). They will return to the Beacons Ice Arena less than 24 hours later to face the Herons for the second straight game.
They will jump right into ECAC East conference play the following Friday when they travel to New England College for a 4 p.m. game. They will then return to Boston for a Saturday conference tilt against Plymouth State University at 1 p.m.
Amongst some of new opponents on this year's schedule will be a December 13 meeting with Adrian College (Mich.) and a January 2 contest against SUNY Canton in the first round of the Codfish Bowl Tournament. Chatham University (Pa.) is also on the schedule, but will face Stevenson University (Md.) in the first round of the Codfish Bowl.
Just like the men's team, this year's schedule will feature three NESCAC opponents, all of which the Beacons will take in succession. They will first travel to Maine on November 25 to take on Bowdoin College, before welcoming Colby College to the Beacons Ice Arena on November 29. There first of only two games in the month of December will be played at Connecticut College on Tuesday the ninth.
In the final month of the regular season, the Beacons will play four of their final five games in Boston. In that span they will face DII Franklin Pierce University on February 20. Senior Day will take place on February 21 when they Beacons host the University of New England.
