Moritz Named NEHC Player of the Week

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – After a three-point weekend junior forward Edy Moritz (Guilford, Conn.) has been named the New England Hockey Conference Player of the Week as announced by the conference office.

Moritz played a huge part in the Beacons 1-1 weekend, as they advanced to the championship game of the 11th Annual Codfish Bowl Tournament on Sunday.  In Saturday's first round win over Wesleyan University, the junior registered a goal and an assist in the Beacons 3-1 win over the Cardinals.  She then assisted on the Beacons only goal in the tough 2-1 overtime loss to seventh-ranked Endicott College in the championship game.

The Beacons will return to action on Friday when they travel to Bowdoin College for a 4 p.m. non-conference game.
