ColleenHarris enters her second season as the Head Coach for the Beaconsafter serving as the Head Coach at Nichols College. She bringsalong an impressive resume as a Division I hockey player as well asa Level 4 coaching certification by the USA Hockey standards.

Harris served as the Interim Head Coach during the 2010-11campaign, leading the Beacons to an impressive 14-11-1 mark withonly 16 total skaters on her roster. The unit compiled severalimpressive wins including a 3-1 victory over #10 ManhattanvilleCollege for the program's first-ever victory over the ECAC Eastperennial powerhouse.

From 2004through 2009, Harris was a member of the Boston College women's icehockey team that captured three Beanpot Championships, made twoNCAA tournament appearances while advancing to the Frozen Four in2007. She was named the Eagles team captain for the '08-'09campaign and was also honored that season as BC's Unsung Hero whilereceiving the team's Outstanding Senior award. On top of thosehonors, Harris received the Hockey East Sportsmanship Awardfollowing her senior season.

Prior tojoining the Beacons staff, Harris served as the Nichols Collegeassistant coach during the 2009-10 season before being promoted toher first collegiate head coaching position in May of 2010 for theBison. She also served as an assistant coach for the women'slacrosse team at Nichols in 2010.

During thesummer of 2010, Harris served as an Intern Coach at the U17 USAHockey Select Camp in Saint Cloud, MN in June as well as the HeadCoach for the U14 USA Select Camp in Rochester, NY inJuly.

Since 2008,Harris has also worked closely with former NHL player Jeff Serowikat Pro Ambitions Hockey, instructing players at summer camps andskill sessions throughout the year.

Harrisgraduated with a BA in Communications & Marketing and a Mastersof Administrative Studies from Boston College in 2009. A native ofBuffalo, NY, Harris currently resides in Boston,MA.
