HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing by one heading into the closing minutes of regulation, the Beacons got the crucial equalizer from senior Jaclyn O'Grady (Somers, Conn.) in the 83rd minute. Sophomore back Taylor Bilyak (Willington, Conn.) assisted on the play to earn her first point of the 2018 season.
Just over five minutes later, Pitts scored the biggest goal of her very young career as she knocked in a Carlee Fahey (Kingston, Mass.) free kick.
After a very tightly contested first half, the Beacons dominated the second from start-to-finish as they outshot Elms 14-1. Abby McCulloch (Weymouth, Mass.) collected her second win of the year after making just one stop. Rebecca Molin dropped to 2-2-1 for Elms after she made six stops in the loss.
