Former Bridgewater State University standout Yasmina Carvalho enters her first season at UMass Boston with the women's soccer coaching staff. 

As a player with the Bears, Carvalho was a three-time Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference player and a two-year captain. The 2010 graduate helped Bridgewater State to a MASCAC Regular Season Championship in 2008 and helped the Bears reach the MASCAC Tournament Championship Game in two of her four seasons.

Since graduating, Carvalho spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Division II Stonehill College, helping coach the Skyhawks to above .500 records in each of her two years. Additionally, Carvalho worked for three years as a club coach with the South Shore Select, before taking her current position with the Scorpion Soccer Club.
