WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS IN ECAC NEW ENGLAND TOURNAMENT TO UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND, 3-111/11/09 BIDDEFORD, ME - Sophomore forward Maggie Mahoney (Newburyport, MA) netted a goal and assisted on another to lead the third-seeded University of New England women's soccer team over sixth-seeded University of Massachusetts Boston, 3-1, in the quarterfinals of the ECAC New England Tournament this evening in Biddeford, ME on the campus of UNE. The Beacons their season with a 14-6-1 record in their best season ever, while the Nor'easters improve to 15-3-0 and advance to the semifinals to play second-seeded Keene State College, which defeated Lesley University, 5-0, in its quarterfinals match.
