UMASS BOSTON WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO UNIVERSITY OF QUEBEC TROIS-RIVIERES, 3-1

BANGOR, ME - The University of Quebec Trois-Rivieres women's soccer team scored two goals in the first half to propel them to a 3-1 victory over the University of Massachusetts Boston today at the Husson University Classic. The Beacons fall to 0-2-0 on the season.
Maude Bellerive (Trois-Rivieres, QC) got Quebec on the board quick, scoring a goal three minutes into the game off a Jade Ritcher (Drummondville, QC) pass. Ritcher had a goal of her own in the first half to put the Patriots up 2-0. In the second half freshman Molly Kuchar (Ashville, NC) scored her first collegiate goal off a corner kick to bring the Beacons within one. However Claudie Rate-Fortin (Gatineau, QC) and Chantal Descoteaum (Drummondville, QC) would work a perfect give and go to put the Patriots up by two for good.
Stephanie Rousseau and Myriam Lalonde (Gatineau, QC) combined to make five saves on eight shots for Quebec. Beacons' goalie Courtney Haroules (Littleton, MA) made 12 saves on 20 shots.
