Women's Soccer to Host Breast Cancer Awareness Game on Saturday

Oct. 6, 2011

BOSTON, Mass. - This Saturday, the University of Massachusetts Boston women's soccer team will be hosting their annual Breast Cancer Awareness game on the Clark Athletic Center Field at 1 p.m.  The Beacons are asking all fans that attend Saturday's match to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

To show their support of this great cause, the Beacons will be wearing their special pink jerseys and wristbands.  There will also be a raffle which will give fans the opportunity to win some great prizes, and all children that attend the match will receive free stickers.

The money raised from Saturday's match will be donated to the American Cancer Society Making Strides/Susan G. Komen Foundation.  Prior to the start of the match, the players will have a special presentation.
