BOSTON, Mass. - On an extremely cold and windy afternoon, women's soccer (12-6) recorded a hard fought 4-0 non-conference win over the visiting Rams of Framingham State University (8-7-1) Tuesday afternoon on the Clark Athletic Center Field.

Three different players found the back of the net in the 4-0 win.  The fourth goal of the afternoon was an own goal.  After a slow start, the Beacons finally got on the scoreboard late in the first half on a Kellie Gomes (Halifax, Mass.) blast to the near post.  Setting-up the game-winner was Sam Cristoforo (Rockland, Mass.), who played a ball into Gomes, who then ripped the shot through the Framingham State goalkeeper's hands.

The Beacon's next goal came just moments later as Krista Ledin (Bridgewater, Mass.) picked-up an unassisted score to make it 2-0.  The goal marked the 18th of the season for the freshman, which moved her to second all-time for most goals in a single season.  After the break, it was senior Kristin Mulry (Holbrook, Mass.) who secured the Beacons non-conference win, with her ninth goal of the season in the 61st minute.  Tayla Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.) set-up the goal after battling a defender right outside the goal box.  Once she got the ball on her foot, Andrews laid it off to Mulry who quickly put it away.

Tuesday's shutout victory marked the eighth of the year for goalkeeper Dani Perkins (Murietta, Cali.), who ties the record for most shutouts in a single season.  As a team, the Beacons have now shutout 10 opponents this season, which breaks the program record of nine set in 2010 and 2009.

Combined the Beacons outshot the Rams 14-8, and held a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks, both of which were taken in the first 45 minutes of play.  Framingham State goalkeeper McKenzie Vershon totaled four saves in the loss.

Women's Soccer returns to action on Friday when they travel to Plymouth State University for a Little East Conference match, scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
