The 2017 USTFCCCA New England Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year, Hamza Abdul returns for his third season on the harbor campus.
In just three short years, Abdul has helped catapult the track and field and cross-country programs to national acclaim. A tireless recruiter, Abdul has helped head coach Consandria Walker-Hall bring in some of the most talented student-athletes in recent memory.
During his time on the coaching staff, the Beacons have won two NCAA Division III Track and Field Team championships, and have earned multiple national, regional, and conference major awards. The Beacons also climbed to the number one ranking in the women’s track and field side after winning back-to-back national crowns in 2018.
A former member of the cross country and track and field teams, Abdul graduated from UMass Boston in 2013.
