Women’s Cross Country Competes at Little East Championship Meet

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Led by Patriciah Mulinge (Brockton, Mass.), women's cross country competed at the 2018 Little East Conference Championship meet Saturday afternoon on the campus of Bryant University.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Mulinge led the Beacons to the eighth-place finish, as the junior crossed the finish line with a time of 21:38.9.  Freshman Brianna Steele (Rutland, Mass.) earned the second fastest time for UMass Boston in her first-ever collegiate conference championship meet.  Steele finished with a time of 22:42.8. 

Chantal Clerveaux (Boston, Mass.) finished Saturday's championship with a time of 23:59.2, while Maggie Hale (Albuquerque, N.M.) crossed the finish line sensor with a time of 26:11.1.  Caroline Mullen (Marshfield, Mass.) finished the day for the Beacons with her time of 29:00.0.

The Beacons will compete at NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship at Bowdoin College on November 10.
