Tessa Martin is in her first year as assistant athletic trainer at UMass Boston.
A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Martin graduated from Northeastern University in May of 2012, where she was also a member of the nationally-ranked squash team.
Prior to her arrival at the UMass Boston campus, Martin worked at SquashBusters Inc. in Roxbury Crossing for the last two years. Amongst her many responsibilities she was in charge of developing and implementing a new squash-specific fitness program, which included daily team fitness sessions and individual fitness testing for 130 student-athletes.
While in Boston, Martin has gained a tremendous amount clinical experience having worked at Emmanuel College, Emerson College, and UMass Boston from 2009-2011.
