Jimmy Cannon Places 14th In 5,000 Meter Run at Riverhawk Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – UMass Boston Men's Indoor Track hit the track in the second day of the Riverhawk Invitational at The TRACK at New Balance on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

Jimmy Cannon placed 14th overall in the Men's 5,000 Meter Run in a time of 15:23.18 which was exactly three seconds behind the program record that he set back on December 3rd, 2022 at the Suffolk Relays.  Freshman Robert Cannon placed 32nd overall with a time of 16:39.89 in the same event.

Freshman Clark Ohlenbusch and Frank Bousa finished back-to-back in the Men's Shot Put with distances of 10.46 meters and 10.33 meters respectively.

Freshman Melvin Wiltshire clocked in with a time of 23.62 seconds in the Men's 200 Meter Run and 53.42 seconds in the Men's 400 Meter Run.
