Ice Hockey & Women’s Basketball Breast Cancer Awareness Games Scheduled for this Weekend

BOSTON, Mass. – The UMass Boston ice hockey and women’s basketball programs will be hosting their annual Breast Cancer Awareness games this Friday and Saturday in the Clark Athletic Center.  UMass Boston is asking fans that attend any of the games this weekend to please wear pink in support breast cancer research and awareness.

Men’s and women’s ice hockey will host their “Pink the Rink” games on Friday at 4 and 7 p.m. in the Ice Arena.  Women’s Basketball will host their “Play for Kay” game on Saturday at 1 p.m. during their Little East Conference game against Eastern Connecticut State University.

All proceeds from the three contests will be donated to the American Cancer Society.  Fans will be able to make donations as well as get information about Breast Cancer at all three events.  For more information about Breast Cancer research and awareness go to
