Baseball’s Jamill Moquete Named to All-FCBL Team
BOSTON, Mass. – After a tremendous summer season with the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, senior outfielder Jamill Moquete (Boston, Mass.) has been named an All-Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) Team honoree and was also voted the number one professional prospect coming out of the FCBL in 2013.
A very strong candidate for the league MVP honor, Moquette closed out the 2013 season tied for a league-high seven home runs. In 41 games played, he finished with a .350 batting average for the Dirt Dawgs. He was traded later in the year to the North Short Navigators and hit .381 in the six games he played for them. On the year he combined for 33 RBI and 37 runs scored respectively. While with the Dirt Dawgs he finished an on-base percentage of 1.036.
In his 140 at-bats during the year, the Boston native recorded 49 hits, which included 10 doubles. He also finished with four stolen bases and was walked a combined 25 times. He recorded 13 multi-hit games, including back-to-back four hit games. He finished with a season-high four RBI after going 3-for-5 with three runs scored in a 12-3 win over the Torrington Titans (Conn.).
In the final two games of the season, Moquete combined for four hits in eight at-bats, two of which were home runs, and finished with three RBI and four runs scored.
