BOSTON, Mass. – After having one of the most prolific college careers senior first baseman Chris Fowler (Barnstable, Mass.) has been named a D3Baseball.com Second Team All-American, making him the first Beacon in program history to be named a three-time All-American by D3Baseball.com.
During his three seasons on the harbor campus, Fowler was a member of three of the most impressive teams in program history. The senior from Barnstable helped UMass Boston to three straight 30-win seasons, a pair of Little East Conference championships, a New England Regional title, and the program's first-ever win at the College World Series.
During his senior season, Fowler recorded a team-leading .384 average, 45 runs scored, 50 RBI, 115 total bases, 68 hits, 22 doubles, .650 slugging percentage, and .482 on-base percentage. His 22 doubles set the single season program record.
The 2018 Little East Tournament MVP, Fowler was once again a finalist for conference Player of the Year for the second straight year.
In his three seasons on the harbor campus, Fowler combined for 144 hits, 39 doubles, six triples, 14 home runs, 90 runs scored, 101 RBI, 70 walks in 400 at-bats. He finished his career with a .360 average, .467 on-base percentage, and .593 slugging percentage.
