PAWTUCKET, R.I. – After a career-best week, junior outfielder Nick Cotraro (Beverly, Mass.) earned his first Little East Conference Player of the Week honor Monday afternoon.
In the Beacons 4-1 week, Cotraro finished with team-leading .643 average and 1.357 slugging percentage. On the week, the sophomore he finished with nine hits, two doubles, one triple, two homes, nine RBI, six runs scored, and 19 total bases.
The Beverly native started the week with a 1-for-3 showing with a run scored at nationally-ranked Southern Maine. The next day he finished 2-for-3 with a run scored in the 7-4 win at Salem State University. Against crosstown rival Suffolk University he went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, and three RBI.
After missing the first game of the conference doubleheader with WCSU due to clinical, he would record the best game of his college career. In the nightcap with the Colonials he went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two run scored, a triple, and a pair of home runs.
