NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – For the first time in his collegiate career sophomore goalie Craig Frehill (Norwell, Mass.) has been named the Little East Conference Goalie of the Week after leading the Beacons to a 2-0 record.
The Norwell native averaged 9.5 saves per game as the Beacons defeated both Nichols College and Salem State University. In Saturday's conference win over the Vikings he managed 19 stops on 30 shots to finish a 63.3 save percentage in the 11-8 win. Saturday's win also marked the first time that the Beacons opened conference play with a victory since the 2007 season.
Against the Bison, he made just four stops in the one-sided win. He currently stands at 6-5 on the year and sits fourth in the conference in goals against average with 8.75. He is also sixth in save percentage (54.1) and five in saves per game (8.60).
