BOSTON, Mass. – On the final day of the 2013 NEISCAAA Indoor Championship, the Beacons competed in three individual events and one relay, as they once again competed against some of the top Division I, II, and III New England athletes.
Setting the stage for Saturday's championship meet was sophomore Tylor Hart (Newton, Mass.) who broke his own personal and program record in the high jump. The 2012 Little East Conference Indoor Rookie Field Athlete of the Year, broke his mark by a quarter of an inch (6-08.25 feet) to finish the afternoon in fourth place.
Hamza Abdul (Chelsea, Mass.) notched a 13th place finish in the triple jump with his final mark of 44-10.75 feet. The men's 4x400 meter relay team finished in 26th place with a time of 3:29.48. On the women's side, Renee O'Brien (Stoneham, Mass.) competed in the high jump in Saturday's championship.
Track and Field returns to action next Friday and Saturday when they compete in the ECAC Indoor Championship meet, which will be held at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York, N.Y.
