CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In his final NCAA New England Regional Championship senior All-American Dom Nda (Pittsfield, Mass.) set a pair of program records to lead the men's track and field team to a 23rd place finish Saturday afternoon at MIT.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Nda posted a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash with his time of 10.57 seconds. He then went on to finish in third place with a time of 21.83 seconds to take third overall. Fellow sprinter Stefan Powell (Hyde Park, Mass.) who originally held the 200-meter dash record posted a final time of 22.19 seconds to finish eighth place.
The 4x100-meter relay team also recorded a first-place finish in Saturday's regional championship. The team of Bless Amedoadzi (Boston, Mass.), Virgil Harrell III (Hamden, Conn.), Nda, and Powell combined for a time of 41.83 seconds.
Xavier Hill was the only other Beacon to compete on Saturday as he recorded a distance of 40-00.50 feet in the triple jump.
The Beacons will compete at the NEICAAA Championship Meet at Dartmouth College next Friday and Saturday.
