WESTFIELD, Mass. – Jimmy Cannon put together another impressive performance as the sophomore recorded an 11th place finish at the Westfield State University James Earley Invitational Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Cannon, who earned a third place finish two weekends ago, continued his strong sophomore campaign, as he tripped the sensor with a time of 26:20.09 on the 8K course. Prosper Lubega was the next Beacon to cross the finish line, as he finished in 69th place with a time of 28:25.37. Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.) continues to return to competition shape as he finished with the third fastest time for the Beacons. The Florida native tripped the sensor with a time of 28:36.63.
William Barrett finished right behind his teammate with a time of 28:50.00 to earn 83rd place overall. Jack Davis and Xavier Hill closed out the meet for the Beacons with times of 30:02.44 and 38:27.48 respectively.
The Beacons will compete at the Suffolk University Invitational at Franklin Park on Friday at 4 p.m.
