DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Led by Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.) the men's cross country team competed against a loaded field of runners at the 2019 UMass Dartmouth Corsair Invite. The Beacons finished in 23rd place out of 36 teams Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
For the second straight week Chase led the Beacons squad this time posting a time of 26:59.01 to earn 54th place overall. Freshman Jon Symons also earned a top-100 finish as he crossed the finish line with a time of 28:02.11.
Prosper Lubega completed the 8K with a time of 28:45.69 to earn 122nd place overall. Alejandro Maldonado finished with a time of 37:09.96, while Sha Anawar recorded a time of 38:41.87. Jonathan Reed closed out the meet for the Beacons with a time of 39:34.01.
The Beacons will compete at the 51st Annual Codfish Bowl next Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston. Start time for the men's race is scheduled for 12:50 pm.
