Cross Country Closes Out Season At NCAA New England Regional

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Led by Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.) the cross country teams closed out their 2019 seasons Saturday afternoon at the NCAA New England Regional Championship meet hosted by Bowdoin College.

THE BASICS

Men's – 43rd out of 54 teams (1,275 pts/2:31:50
Women's – No Team Result

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the final cross country meet of his career, Chase finished in 99th place with a time of 26:45.22.  Prosper Lubega (Watertown, Mass.) recorded the Beacons second fastest time as he crossed the finish line with a time of 29:07.99.  Right behind him was Jon Symons (Northborough, Mass.) who registered a final time of 29:09.38.

Jonathan Reed (Abington, Mass.) and Alejandro Maldonado, Jr. (Dedham, Mass.) closed out the regional championship with times of 32:17.33 and 34:29.45 respectively. 

On the women's side Emily Irwin was the lone runner for the Beacons.  The freshman finished the meet with a time of 28:47.50.
