Caitlin Belanger is in her first season as the UMass Boston softball pitching coach in 2014.
The former College of the Holy Cross pitcher was a two-time All Patriot League selection and ranks fifth all-time in Crusader program history in wins and earned run average. Belanger was named a Second Team All Patriot League selection as a junior and senior and named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-Region Northeast Second Team in 2011.
After graduating, she spent time abroad playing professional softball and working as the head coach with the Neunkirchen Nightmares in Germany. While in Europe, she participated in the European Cup and earned the Best Hitter Award in the German Cup Championship.
Upon returning stateside, Belanger has worked locally as a head coach with the Sluggers Academy/Metrowest Thunder from 2011-13 and as a private instructor with the Hit Quarters/Worcester Heat.
She graduated from the College of Holy Cross in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
