BOSTON, Mass.—UMass Boston women's tennis officially announced their 2014-15 schedule this afternoon. The Beacons will be looking to build off a late-season run that clinched the team their second Little East Conference Tournament bid in the past five years.
Eighth-year head coach Eric Berg's squad will play seven home matches as they look to earn back-to-back postseason appearances for the first time since 2008.
The Beacons will open the year at home against Mount Holyoke College on Saturday August 30 at 11 a.m. After a 10-day layoff, the Beacons will return to action when they host Johnson & Wales University Sep. 10.
UMass Boston will begin Little East Conference play three days later, when the Beacons take to the road for a matchup against Worcester State University on Sep. 13.
From there, the Beacons will return home for a two-game homestand against Eastern Nazarene College and Plymouth State University, before closing out the month of September with a pair of Little East Conference road matches.
The month of October will see the Beacons play four of their last five contests against Little East Conference foes. UMass Boston will start the month on the road against Western Connecticut State University (Oct. 1), before playing home matches against UMass Dartmouth (Oct. 4), Salem State University (Oct. 7) and their final home match of the regular season against Bridgewater State (Oct. 11).
Berg's squad will finish off the fall regular season Tuesday October 14 when they travel to Curry College for their final non-conference match of the year.
